Only after thorough preparation can painting begin, this includes covering, all furniture, with plastic sheets followed with painters drop sheets to give double protection in the unlikely event of paint spillage.
At Colourfast Painting & Decorating we like to do things properly this includes the removal of all fittings including door handles, curtain rails, blind fittings etc.
If we are not painting inside cupboards we will tape plastic to them to stop dust, and paint splashes getting on to your clothes.
We put tape down on the edge of the carpet to stop fluff getting on to the skirting, and ruining the paint finish.
We prefer to use Dulux wash & wear low sheen 101 acrylic on the walls, a high quality paint which guarantees many years of wear.
In bathrooms, and wet areas we prefer to use Dulux Mould-shield low sheen acrylic, this particular paint guarantees no mould will form for at least 2 years.
