Pressure washing

Prior to the commencement of painting to any large exterior surfaces, whether it be house walls, cladding, decking, fencing, or flooring, it is advisable to thoroughly wash the surface with a high pressure washer, to remove all surface contaminants .

The areas to be painted are washed using a mild non toxic detergent, the surfaces are then cleaned with a soft brush, prior to washing under pressure.

In using water under pressure prior to painting if there is any loose material i.e. flaking paint, it can be taken off with water, giving a good start in the preparation process.

Colourfast Painting & Decorating are permitted by Sydney Water to use water to wash hard surfaces.
